Off to the Printer with You...!

Another exciting milestone here at the studios as we begin to roll into Fall and cooler weather - the proofs for our next expansion for the True Agenda Roleplaying Game went to the printer earlier today! We received word that the printer is still expecting a slower than normal response time, so we needed to get everything shipped to them well ahead of schedule. We remain on track here for our planned November release, and so hopefully the staff at our printer can accommodate our timeline.

As we wind down a bit after having worked some longer hours this week to make our deadline, we look forward to what is on the horizon. Next year, we have a big announcement for our upcoming release of a brand new game system! Looking further into 2022, we are planning on the fourth and final major expansion for True Agenda, along with our second full expansion for Chronofields.

Summertime...

August is here and so are the storms, humidity, and heat! Work in the studio continues diligently on the 3rd expansion for the True Agenda roleplaying game. This full-sized expansion is still slated for an end of the year release, although the exact date has not yet been decided. We are still anticipating a slowdown at the printer because of the resurgence in the number of virus cases, so things have to be planned around that possibility. Nonetheless, everyone here has continued taking precautions because health and wellbeing are more important.

We have been asked to attend an online game designer Q&A session at our convenience. This is certainly exciting news for us, however our current schedule might make attendance difficult, at least in the short term. It is something we do not want to pass up, but will have to see how things go on our end and what open slots are available in the coming months. Should this come to fruition, we will be sharing details on here, so make sure to check back in the coming weeks!

Haunting Fields Release Day!

Originally, before all the craziness that has been 2020 began materializing, we here at the studios put out our plans for upcoming releases to our tabletop roleplaying games. The first expansion for Chronofields was slated for a June release, and that seemed very achievable back in December of last year. All of the work for Haunting Fields was completed by June 6th, and the files sent off to the printer. One redesign was required, but completed in 48 hours. Unfortunately, with the current pandemic, the printer has been operating with minimal staffing in order to keep their employees safe. Understandable, of course, and so we here at the studios debated pushing the release of Haunting Fields back to July. Here it is, the 12th hour (actually, a little bit earlier than that!) and we received confirmation that everything is a go. The expansion will release today, the 30th of June!

However, this does not mean that our printer is operating like normal. Things are still considerably delayed. Because of this, all physical book orders will be sent out sometime in July, or within approximately 30 days from the time of order. This might improve as we get further into July, but no one should expect to receive any physical book orders before the end of next month. PDF files are, of course, ready to go, both here and over at Drive Thru RPG. We appreciate your understanding and patronage.

Hunkered Down and Still Working...

While it has been a while since our news feed here has been updated, the studio has remained busy as we work towards getting the planned expansions out for our tabletop roleplaying game line. However, because of the current pandemic situation, our printer is not operating at full capacity, so that might mean we will experience a delay in getting physical copies into everyone’s hands. Should that become an issue, we will keep everyone updated.

The plan as of right now is to release the first expansion for Chronofields in June, which is almost here! The third full-sized expansion for True Agenda is going to be towards the end of this year with no firm date so far. All of the other business is currently on hiatus, so we are not producing any other graphic design work beyond the scope of the games. However, we are still blessed to be able to continue operating in these uncertain times.

Streaming Consciousness Studios and Lunar Cycle Games were one of 300 game publishers who donated to Drive Thru RPG’s Australia brushfire relief charity drive! The main rules for True Agenda were chosen to be included in one of their bundles focused on modern and urban horror games. This bundle includes over 300 dollars of games and supplements for only $19.95! Every penny from sales are going to be split between two charities chosen to receive the donations. Chronofields Release Day!

It is finally here! We had a fantastic reception to the release of our quick start rules just two days ago, and now the full game has been released both here and over at Drive Thru RPG. As a thank you for all of the interest in the gaming community, we are selling the PDF version for a limited time sale price over at Drive Thru, so if you are thinking about picking up the full version of the game, you might as well grab it on sale! The full cover art reveal is to the right, and all of us here are very pleased at the quality of the print proof we received. This game has been a long time coming since its infancy back over 20 years ago to what it is today. We hope everyone enjoys playing and exploring the game universe as much as we had putting it together.

While we take a short break for the upcoming holidays and the end of the year, 2020 is already shaping up to be extremely busy for us. Proofs are Back and Quick Start Rules Released!

There has been a lot of exciting things that happened in the last 24 hours. First was that the proof copy has arrived for our second game release: Chronofields! Everything looks great and we have given the go ahead for printing to commence. Additionally, the quick start rules for Chronofields have been made public over at Drive Thru RPG. We had released a few physical copies of the quick start rules back during Free RPG Day earlier this year to a handful of retailers, so it’s possible you already have a copy! The quick start rules over at Drive Thru RPG are PDF format only so that we could offer them for free to everyone who is interested. If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, head on over there and get yours today!

The cover art for the quick start rules is displayed above. The full game releases in the coming days, and the artwork is completely different. We did this specifically so that everyone could tell the two versions apart without having to guess.

Upcoming Game Title Release Info!

The long days of writing, finishing artwork, and editing are behind us here at the studio as we get closer to releasing our 2nd full tabletop role playing game title. Everything has been sent to the printer and now we are awaiting review of the files. The release date will be dependent upon how things go at the printer, as it took a bit longer to complete the game this time around. There is a second contingency date that will work should the printing process need more time.

During this time we will be updating the website with information and links for the new game. It will be primarily sold through Drive Thru RPG as our other titles have in the past, but it will also be available for sale directly through us here.

With this major project wrapping up, we look forward to next year. We have a busy schedule already, with more reveals coming shortly after we release our newest game. We have some interesting and different ideas that we plan to do beyond our normal fare of releasing expansions as we further diversify our gaming products. Stay tuned!

2nd Expansion Release Date!

This is a very exciting kick off to a new week! The release date of our second full-sized expansion for True Agenda is here! The Alien Menace brings a lot of new adversaries into the game. In addition, there are some new equipment and a pair of adventures awaiting both players and directors. The game timeline advances in this expansion, meaning some old foes are getting closer to their goals, but a new group is also entering play. Will they be friend or foe? We are very excited to release this expansion, and hope everyone who has been following us enjoys what is contained within its pages.

For anyone who has not yet picked up the game, you can find a package deal at Drive Thru, and also check this site for sales later this summer. Also, keep checking back for more news on what we still have planned for later this year.

Proofs are back and new ad design!

We received our proof copy from the printer for the upcoming expansion to True Agenda today. Things turned out rather nicely. The cover design was a new direction for the studio and the theme ran throughout the entire cover; front, spine and back. The inside quality was what we expected since this is our third print project, although there seemed to be a slight discoloration on a couple of the interior art pieces. We believe this is from the print run after we verified our digital art files. Hopefully the full print run addresses these issues, but they are not deal breakers regardless.

Today, we also finished an ad design piece (shown on right) that will be appearing in various advertising campaigns throughout the year, including within the pages of our new roleplaying game releasing later this year.
